Tasting Notes
Strong crimson garnet with a wide ocher rim and orange reflections. Fine tobacco nuances on the nose, delicate red berry hints, with damp undergrowth, notes of blackberry and ripe cherry. Dark berries on the palate, freshly structured, mineral touch, seems pithy, the tannins are still somewhat demanding, red berry fruit and a lemony touch on the finish, a border crosser between old style and new time, patience is still required here.

Fine hints of fine chocolate, mint and menthol on the nose, very typical Pauillac, delicate hints of Florentine pastry, nuances of cassis, with cedar wood and graphite in the background. Full-bodied and sweet on the palate, with powerful, structuring tannins, delicate notes of black tea, chocolate and black berries, a taut, mineral wine with convincing length and exceptional certain ageing potential, an intense, powerful but by no means fat Vin de Garde! Ageing +50 years.
